Chinpei Tang is a research associate working at School of Engineering and Computer Science at UT Dallas. He received his Ph.D, M.S and B.S. in mechanical engineering from SUNY at Buffalo. Throughout his career, he has been actively involving in various elementary, middle and high school educational activities, especially in robotics, mechatronics, and computer aided design (CAD). In 2011, he was the event chair of the DFW Youth Engineering Fair, organized by the Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA-DFW Chapter. He was also a judge for the 2010 BEST Robotics Competition National Championship, a mentor of Dallas BEST Robotics Team in 2010, a lecturer of Fisher-Price Cyber Engineering High School Workshop in 2005, 2006 and 2007, and a lecturer of an outreach program “Taking Virtual Prototyping to High Schools” in 2002.
